my first brother says : " I Believe In God but no Religion ! Religion DIVIDES people, Believe in something UNITES !!! "

i think that line has some good points too .. cause from my observations, being so into religion can makes 2 very different effects .. first situation, maybe you can become a really good person, avoid and never make any sins, always being grateful to God for what He gives to you .. that's good .. but in 2nd situation, maybe religion can make the way you think shallow ..
it's a really classic story, there're always discriminations everywhere .. based on religions and races are the most popular causes ..

i'm not a racist person .. i don't differ my manner to other people who have different religions with me .. but i can be that 'bad' person if i meet someone with attitude like that .. attitude to disparage others with different race or religion .. i don't blame the religions, and of course i don't blame their faiths .. but i think people like that are grown up in the wrong upbringings .. so they can have really misguided minds..

i don't care with fanatic people .. i do admit that they have good sides too, maybe they seem more religious than i am .. i like good people with good faiths too .. but i don't like any overdone things .. i agree with my brother, i DO believe in God .. but i do admit too, sometimes every religion has some bad doctrines .. according to me .. if you think i'm wrong, sorry .. i just say what i'm thinking .. maybe i'm not a really religious person, but i know God exists and i do believe in Him, but i don't wanna be fanatic person .. that's all .. this topic reminds me of some questions that some people ask me, why don't you go to church regularly ? why don't you pray to Him everyday ? why in Xmas or Easter, it's so hard to ask you go to church, isn't it a responsibility as God's believer ? hehehe .. maybe i'm wrong .. and maybe i need to be disciplined ..

okay back to the topic, i talked too much here i guess .. so what do you think ? is my brother's statement wrong ? i agree with him cause i think it's true .. people get divided by religions .. don't religions exist for making faithless people believe in God ? and God does want that all the people in the world to be united in 1 union .. so why're there wars that based on difference in religions ? people like that is so stupid , got blinded by their fanaticsm ..
